It’s an AgeThing!

AgeThing is a work-life balance portal that focuses on age diversity in the workforce. We put experienced people who are looking for work directly in touch with employers that recognise the benefits of employing an age diverse workforce.

If you’re looking for a different work-life balance or products that can help you in your search for work, then we hope we can lead you in the right direction through our WORK, LIFE and SELF HELP channels.

But if you’re just looking for a place where you can share experiences people who may be in the same position as you, then maybe our FORUM is a place where you can let off steam or make new friends. We were founded in 2001 as FiftyOn and were one of the first organisations to be recognised as Age Positive Champions by the Government’s Age Positive Campaign.

We are members of the The Age and Employment Network (http://www.taen.org.uk) which campaigns on behalf of older workers. We want the site to be led by our users and are keen to hear your views on anything to do with the website or age diversity at work.
